Architectural theme for Kanya Mandir school is to retain existing western neo-classical design and configuration. In Bhagawati school, the design approach adopted is to be in harmony with local Newari Architecture. Regarding Adarsha school, it is rather a restoration project with some retrofitting and design of several new classroom blocks to suit existing Architecture of the main building.

Earthquake resistance design has been taken as basic principle in the structure design. Therefore, the structural system consists of moment resisting frame structure with shear walls.
