It is a 50 bed maternity hospital with pediatric unit. The building is designed as per the hot and humid climatic condition of Narayangarh. Vertical fins are used in East and West Elevetion in order to block unwanted summer sunrays and to allow solar heat during winter time. Maximum solar gain is also designed for the South Elevation. From North side of the building a magnificient panoramic view at Narayani river is exposed. Regular and stable form of building is designed to achieve better earthquake resistancy.

The hospital is designed to provide mass treatment of common eye diseases. There is provision of OPD service for 500 persons per day and OT service for 400 person per week. The four-storey building with basement parking facilities has a plinth area of 16600 sq. ft. Simplicity in design, maintenance free design, climate responsive design and seismic resistant design are the key features of the project. Designed as an extension of the present hospital building , the aim has been to provide service to maximum number of patients ,acting also as a research centre . The construction is divided into three phases. An interesting overhead bridge connection is made with the existing hospital. The Research Centre includes Auditorium, Publication room, Library and Multimedia centre.

The hospital is designed to provide specialized services in the field of orthopedics, gynecology and obstetrics. The seven-storey hospital building with plinth area of 1700 sq. ft. comprises following facilities: 25 beds out patients department, operation theaters, post operative wards, laboratories, post operative wards, laboratories, radiology department, physiotherapy department.
The main design feature of this project is to amalgamate two separate adjacent building (one was a polyclinic and other was a commercial building) into a hospital building.
