The design work of this residence is synthesis of western neo-classical exterior design, eastern “Vaastu Shastra” in plan and Modern technology of central heating and cooling system of the building, as a whole. Built at the high land of periphery of the valley, it adds to the beauty of the skyline when viewed from the foothills. It also utilizes the aspect of Energy Efficient Design. Sizes of all windows were worked out based on the size, function & orientation of the room. The staircase with huge openings towards the south is designed to act as a thermal mass.
