During the mid eighties, it was a not a normal practice for fresh graduates to start their own company/firm in Nepal. But a group of architects and Engineers, freshly graduated from various universities of former Soviet Union, ventured into this not trodden realm and established 'Innovative Createer' as a name to reckon with. With innovative and creative approach to every design problem, the firm has experiences of designing buildings in rural and remote areas like Khotang and Solukumbu as well as in urban context. It has expertise in designing low cost buildings utilizing only local materials as well as designing with state-of-the-art construction materials. The firm is also a pioneer in the production of 3D rendered images and animation of buildings as well as interior design projects.

Updated with technology – From AutoCAD to Revit Architecture
With its innovative character the firm seeks ways to provide clients with new technologies to deliver projects efficiently. In this context, it has updated its designing software to Revit from AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max, which has many desirable benefits over the latter software. Createers is the first consultancy in Nepal that is successful to train its entire team of Architects and Engineers, using REVIT ARCHITECTURE based on BIM.

The feature of Revit is to revise instantly, which means change in any area in the building changes automatically across the project (Revit, 2010). It has the ability to generate 3D, as you draw in 2D, thus providing clients’ unlimited numbers of interior and exterior photorealistic views of the project. Therefore, the firm is able to deliver variety of visualization for better understanding and effectual delivery.
Design
From its early stage of establishment, it has been involved in energy efficiency, use of alternative energy in building design. The firm believes that a good building design should go hand in hand with esthetics, functionality, earthquake resistance, especially “Green Building Design” and equally on preparation of accurate cost estimate (preliminary as well as detailed), precise BOQ, up to date as well as site specific rate analysis, condensed technical specification, strong bid document and efficient construction management.
It is indeed a matter of pride that in history of Nepalese Architecture, our recent Project of Office Building Complex of Butwal Power Company at Nayabaneshwor, Kathmandu is registered to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) accreditation by US Green Building Council.
The firm has completed the turn- key project of “Architectural/ Engineering & Construction Supervision Consultancy” of office spaces for United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) at Birendra International Convention Center (BICC) at New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. The entire project was completed within record time of 7 weeks.
Designing and construction supervision of Balkumari Multiple Campus & Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Narayangarh were the initial designs of the firm. At that time, it was one of the few consultants to implement Computer Aided Drawings in design works. The early nineties opened even wider horizon to the firm with more prestigious projects like Office Complex for Bagmati Watershed Project at Babarmahal funded by the European Union and Blue Bird Hotel at Pokhara.
In the mid nineties, projects like Naya Bazar Land Pooling Project (funded by ADB), City Office Complex for Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) at Biratnagar and Nepalgunj, Factory Complex for Jyoti Ceramics at Panchkhal are some of the major projects of that period. At that stage, the firm already fully computerized and was the pioneer in producing photo realistic 3D rendered images. Capital Hospital Pvt. Ltd. & Research Centre at Putalisadak, Apartment Building for Triveni Group of Industries at Dillibazar are some of the late nineties Projects of the firm.
On arrival of new millennium, the firm has achieved new heights with mega Projects like Gongabu Bus Park Extension and Lions Maternity Hospital at Narayangarh. The firm also got involved in various renovation and interior projects like Cabinet of the Chairman of NAC, Office for Minister of Tourism at Singha Durbar and Residence for Dr. Upendra Mahato at Bhainsepati, Interior Refurbishment of Project Office of United Nations Development (UNDP), Annex-4, UN House, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Interior Refurbishment of Office of Permanent Representative of Secretary General (OPRSG) of UN at Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Interior Design of Nepal Bank Limited, at Dharmapath, Nepal Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank Limited at Narayangarh, Office of H.G. Enterprises at Koteshwor, Office of Mr. Hulas C. Golchha at Golchha House, Ganabahal and Residence of Dr. Niraj G. Shrestha at Thecho, Lalitpur.
In recent Years, the firm has successfully completed design works of several projects funded by various International Donor Agencies and Multinational Companies: Hospital Building Expansion Project of Tilganga Eye Centre at Gaushala, Kathmandu, Office Building of Department of Education (DOE) at Sanothimi, Project of renovation and extension of four Regional Education Directorate (RED). Similarly, the Project of design works of nine District Educational Office (DEO) Complex. And the Project "Detailed Engineering Survey and Design of School Physical Facilities and Other Civil Works".
The firm had successfully completed prestigious projects like Department of Electricity Development. (DoED) at Sano Gauchar, Kathmandu (a seven storey with double basement office building), Survey & Design of Improvement of physical facilities of MoES at Kesharmahal, Kathmandu,"Full Site Development Project" of the Coca- Cola Company at Balaju, Kathmandu and design of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Complex at Sinamangal, Kathmandu.
Recently, it has completed various interior design projects of International Leasing & Finance Company (ILFCO) at Butwal, Itahari, Surayabinayak, Ghorahi, Chabahil, Narayangarh, Kumaripati and Kalimati and Everest Bank Limited at Thamel, Kritipur, Tatopani and Tulsipur. Similarly, meeting room of Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd and Butwal Power Company.
Last but not least, we would like to state that we prefer to do Studio work than being a factory of drawings. We enjoy doing less number of projects at a time emphasizing on quality. |
